Skiing in Zermatt:

Zermatt is known as one of the best ski areas in the Alps thanks to its outstanding 313km of groomed pistes. Linked with Cervinia, Italy, Zermatt offers access to three main ski areas; Rothorn (3103m), Gornergrat (3,405m) and Klein Matterhorn (3,820m). These areas are extremely well connected with 71 lifts, cable cars and railways.

 

Skiing in Zermatt is a fantastic experience where you will be surrounded by some of the world’s most spectacular scenery. Zermatt has 38 mountains over 4000m, high altitude snow and is known for sunny days.

 

All abilities are well provided for. For the younger guests there are ski/play areas at Sunnegga and Schwarzee. There are 15 runs designed for beginners, and intermediates can enjoy wide open pistes and tracks through picturesque pine forests.
Zermatt is the perfect place for heli-skiing, especially the descent from Monte Rosa; 16km of fresh tracks over glaciers and snow fields.
