The Hotel Kristiania, part of the ‘Small Luxury Hotels of the World’, offers an understated elegance and luxury to Lech, a hotel you will fall in love with and want to return to again and again. It certainly is one of our favourites.
Overlooking Lech the hotel enjoys one of the most spectacular views the area has to offer. This snowy and charming location is just five minutes from the centre of the village, next to the cross country ski track en route to Zug. Skiing to the door is a possibility, if you know the route – just ask your Kaluma representative to show you on your day of ski guiding. The hotel also offers a shuttle service to and from the ski lifts and resort centre.
The hotel is run by the famous Schneider family, who take care of every last detail to ensure all of their guests feel as if they’re staying in a home from home. The list of services on offer is exemplary, including a bath butler, book butler, personal trainer, tailored menus for special diets and the most detailed pre-check in service to meet your every desire before you even step through the door.
Every bedroom has a unique and charming decor, they are so welcoming and relaxing we are sure you will find it hard to leave! If you can tear yourself away then there is plenty more to explore. The food on offer at the hotel’s restaurants is outstanding, as is the view to accompany it. The snug bar and library has a delightful ‘old world’ charm; just the place to settle down with a good book next to the fireplace of an afternoon. The hotel’s small, yet stylish spa area offers a sauna, massage room and relaxation area.

The 29 rooms and suites at the Kristiania are quite simply stunning, all are completely unique and distinctive in their décor. From the ‘Marie Antoinette’ Suite to the ‘Turkish Room’ to the African inspired room there is something for everyone. With rich furnishings and stunning bathrooms a stay in one of the Kristiania’s rooms will be one to remember and one we highly recommend.
