VERBIER CORPORATE EVENT CASE STUDY

The Company: A high end property development company

The Event : A yearly company ski trip, with the added bonus of being rewarded for an exceptional years trading.

No. of People : 18 people

The Brief : To have another ski trip (like we always do) but with something a little different involved. Most of the group are good/advanced skiers – so something with an element of adventure – off piste touring or heli-skiing in either St Anton or Verbier. Its just company, no clients, so we also really want to let our hair down – good après ski is a must.

OUR APPROACH

As a regular client of ours we wanted to really blow them away for something special and this amazing treat from the company. We thought Verbier would suit them best as a group and was able to offer everything they would want out of a ski weekend – excitement, excellent skiing, great bars and restaurants and heli skiing that can go over a weekend (not possible in Austria!)

OUR PROPOSAL

  • The Hotel Nevai holds a very central location in Verbier with possibly the resorts most popular/famous and exclusive nightclub and direct access form the hotel.
  • Late flights form the City on the Thursday allows less time away from work, private transfers and of course some food and drinks on arrival.
  • Early morning ski fit, and then guiding around the resort by Kaluma, as well as an experienced off piste guide for those wanting to venture off and explore.
  • A lunch at Carrefour – one of the must visit restaurants on the mountain for a lunch in the sun. We arranged for a traditional Swiss lunchtime fondue followed by some afternoon skiing. Ending up back in town at the Farinet lounge for some “civilized” après ski.
  • Dinner involved a Snow Cat taxi to take the group to Chez Danny, part way up the mountain. We had another Swiss special laid on, with some delightful succulent steak and raclette. Dinner was followed by a torchlit descent down the toboggan track and all the way (eventually) to the Coco Club where a table full of drinks awaited the group.
  • Saturday was THE day. As long as the weather was good, the helicopters (2 of them) would pick up the heli skiers ready for an action packed day of really exploring the area and the off piste possibilities. This was a full morning event, with the group due to return to Verbier and to meet the “not so advanced” skiers at L’Olympique restaurant for a 14.30 lunch. In the afternoon, the non off piste skiers were to go an enjoy a heli tour of Verbier and the surrounding mountains – a fantastic experience for everyone.
  • Apres ski was a ski down to La Rouge for cocktails and rose on the terrace. A classy apre ski. Pre dinner cocktails at the hotel cocktail bar and then back to La Rouge (transformed for diner) for a lovely evening meal.
  • We planned a small bar crawl back, via the Farinet Lounge and ending up in The Farm for late night drinks and fun.
  • Sunday morning allowed a few hours skiing before a lunch at the Hotel Nevai and then transfers back to the airport for a late afternoon flight back to London.

THE RESULT

“Once again you have exceeded our expectations. The ideas and the implementation were effortless and exceptional. We all had an amazing time and will never forget the heli experience on the Saturday – although we will want to forget the hangovers on the Sunday! Great to have you there with us – makes all the difference”.
