The 2017/18 ski season is now in full swing; our guests have been enjoying our chalets and the abundance of snow on the slopes!
The gourmet food on offer at our Kaluma chalets is one of the most important parts of your stay with us, and something we hope our guests will remember for years to come! Finding experienced and inspired chefs is one of the things we dedicate the most time and attention to; we want our chefs to be creative and exciting in the food they serve, with a focus on flavour and presentation. We’re also incredibly privileged to have Big Green Eggs in all our chalets – giving our chefs a unique angle for food preparation and dish creation.
We’ve rounded up a selection of some amazing gourmet food that’s been served in our chalets so far this season – our chefs this year are incredible and it really shows in the food they are serving. Here’s just a small sample of what our guests have enjoyed so far:
A Chalet Breakfast
To fill our guests up before hitting the slopes!

Afternoon Tea
After a day on the slopes what’s better than coming back to a cosy chalet with a cake ready to be devoured?
Afternoon tea done right at Chalet Montfort, St Anton – a carrot and cardamom cake:
A beautifully presented mascarpone vanilla mousse and raspberry tart with vanilla meringues, fresh raspberries and crushed pink peppercorn berries to finish. Served to our guests at Chalet La Colombe, Courchevel 1850:
Big Green Egg
A selection of some of the amazingly creative and delicious meals created for our guests on the Big Green Eggs. Who knew BBQ’ing in the snow could be so fun!?
Hickory smoked chicken breast cooked on the Big Green Egg served with caramelised onion petals, savoury granola and paprika hollandaise. Served at Chalet Montana, Courchevel 1850:
Our chef at Chalet Montana, Courchevel 1850 cooked a delicious herb ash beef fillet on the Big Green Egg and served with bubble and squeak, wild mushrooms and beef jus:
Seafood
Even though our resorts are as far from the nearest coast as can be we still create amazing fresh seafood dishes!
A seafood extravaganza at Chalet Hermine in Courchevel 1850 started with oysters!

The Main Event
Our chefs are always thinking up new and exciting dishes to serve our guests for their main course each evening.
Roasted venison, creamed celeriac, parsnip crisps and blackberry jus served at Chalet Montfort, St Anton:

Dessert

All Drinks Included at Kaluma Chalets
Your stay at a Kaluma chalet is completed with all of your drinks included; champagne, wine, spirits, beer and soft drinks are all available to our guests throughout their stay.
