14 Sep Kaluma Travel Update
The countdown is on, only about 77 days until the season starts, lifts open and the skiers and boarders descend on the world’s most favoured ski resorts.
Snow has indeed already fallen in some of our resorts. St Anton saw a great covering down to 1500m today and local chatter is of a great snowy winter ahead. Fingers crossed that this rings true!
With the season fast approaching now seems a good time to update on all that is new with Kaluma Travel. Not only have we been interviewing for a new team to work in our chalets and resorts for the coming season but we are also having a few UK based changes. Katie, our lovely Sales and Marketing Manager is due to leave us soon to welcome the birth of her second baby. Kelly, will step up to the plate and take over the managers role and we will welcome Louise to the office team very soon. Bringing a wealth of sales and marketing experience to Kaluma Travel.
Kaluma Retreats has proved a popular success in our first real summer of villas and hotels in St Tropez and our guests have loved every minute of their exclusive retreats and service on the French Riviera.
We are all very excited here about the season ahead and have recently launched our new winter brochure and website. If you log into kalumatravel.co.uk you can now see our new Events Page, Ski Page and Summer Retreats all on one lovely new home page. Our dedicated events site highlights all we can do in the resorts, whether it be a corporate event or a big family gathering, we have the skills and experience to offer you the perfect event.
Our ski programme has also grown. Due to popular demand and requests from our guests we have added several new chalets, hotels and resorts to our portfolio. Allowing you even more choice while still benefitting from our excellent service and high standards. Our concierge style of service runs right through your holiday. From first contact with our office team to your in resort experience.
Alongside all this “newness” we have launched a few new offers as well. These include “Nannies stay for free” to help our families really enjoy their ski experiences and a “Book the Boss” campaign for all the PA’s and secretaries who call us up tasked with organising the next holiday for their boss. We have teamed up with Harrods to be able to offer some lovely vouchers for those able to “Book the Boss”.
In resort we are very lucky to have some fantastic chefs working for us this winter. In Courchevel, those lucky enough to experience Dan’s amazing food last winter, will be pleased to hear that he is returning for another winter with Kaluma. In St Anton we have a new chef, Spike, who brings years of experience as a head chef and has spent this summer on a Super Yacht as head chef travelling the world! Guests are in for a culinary treat this winter!
At our Kaluma run chalets we have some new offerings for all guests; iPads and Apple TV in all chalets, pre dinner cocktails freshly shaken in front of you, a soft furnishing refurb in Maisonnee A and Maisonnee B all alongside our excellent concierge style of service to all our guests.
With the ski show fast approaching and the journalists already beginning their pre season round ups, the snow falling in the Alps, the Olympics over, the summer is coming to an end and the winter season really is fast approaching.
