ST ANTON CORPORATE EVENT CASE STUDY

The Company: An International, award winning Interior Design Company

The Event : Company Christmas Party & CEO’s Annual Presentation to be held in early December.

No. of People : 60 – 70 people

The Brief : A fun, relaxed event, with themed nights, skiing, lunches, après ski where all staff  throughout the company can mix and mingle. Incorporating a 2 hour company presentation from the CEO. Relatively short transfer times and the ability to deal with separate flights and private jets.

OUR APPROACH

St Anton fitted this brief perfectly and was our main recommendation. It was early December and had to be snow sure so that guests could enjoy the mountains and the skiing, as well as somewhere that is always lively and fun, right from the start of the season.

It had to be close enough to airports to avoid long transfers but had to be a major airport as all the staff were not allowed to travel on the same flights together (safety and security).

We knew the perfect hotel and instantly had fun in mind!

We needed a whole hotel, bars, restaurants, conference room and a bit of creativity to set this event up and make it one that would not be forgotten and be the best “office party” ever!

OUR PROPOSAL

  • A whole hotel, 30 seconds from the slopes, an almost on the main street. With a great bar and two restaurants on site, it was the perfect setting to “contain the group”.
  • Late flights on a Thursday evening (less time off work!) and a host of drinks available on the transfers to resort.
  • A selection of food platters ready on arrival in the restaurant for those still hungry, drinks and plans for the days ahead.
  • Two and a half days skiing and instructors laid on for those that required lessons or guiding. Skiing was free skiing and at leisure
  • Lunch venues booked on both days in two great restaurants perfect for Groups of 60+ people. Wine cellar tours, kitchen tours and much merriment expected.
  • Apres ski was booked in one of the world famous après bars on the mountain for one afternoon and would be the perfect first day event for all staff to mix and mingle, drink and dance and get to know each other better
  • A conference facility was booked for the late afternoon in the main conference center, 30 seconds from the hotel. Theatre style, with projector, screens, lighting, and audio equipment.
  • First themed night: A fancy dress night, where all staff drew names at random to be matched with a partner (before coming to the Alps) and had to plan a joint fancy dress costume and bring it with them. With a champagne reception in the hotel lobby, we decorated with a Christmas theme – huge gingerbread house as a centerpiece, an open fire, a ceiling to floor, fully decorated Christmas tree and traditional Austrian touch’s throughout. Followed by dinner in an award winning Italian restaurant and a 3 bar bar crawl to show off the fancy dress!
  • Second themed night: A James Bond theme. Tuxedos, suits, dresses and gowns for a more formal dinner. A cocktail reception in the bar, all candlelit for a better ambience, a choice of cocktails that included 007’s fav – shaken not stirred of course. A fun yet formal dinner with after dinner speech from senior management in the Steak House Restaurant. We arranged for a live band to start playing mid way through the meal and to continue through the evening, with drinking and dancing until the early hours!

THE RESULT

“Without a doubt the best Christmas party we could have hoped for. Everything you did for us was just spot on in every way. The fact people are still talking about it weeks afterwards is testament to your superb suggestions and efforts. Thank you, thank you, thank you”
