COURCHEVEL 1850 CORPORATE EVENT CASE STUDY

The Company: A City Brokerage Firm

The Event : Entertaining their top clients/corporate hospitality

No. of People : 14 – 18 people

The Brief : Looking to make a big impression, so want something exciting and different, not just a “run of the mill” ski trip. Want highend restaurants and nightlife mixed with some fun, adrenaline activities and skiing. Accommodation had to be high end and right by the slopes.

OUR APPROACH

Very much a high end trip, but not an “unlimited” budget to work with! Courchevel 1850 would provide the resort and hotel specifications for the trip. Excellent high end hotels and restaurants / clubs to entertain clients or guests. It also offers ski in / ski out accommodation throughout the resort and has a host of exciting activities on offer.

This wasn’t about being too creative, more about being able to host the group and provide the services that were expected. Kaluma would be on hand throughout the trip, offering service at every step of the way to ensure the high level of expectations were met and surpassed in delivering an excellent experience.

OUR PROPOSAL

  • Late evening flights out of City Airport allows less time out of the office. The group were met by a private transfer and driver to take them directly to Courchevel.
  • We chose the Hotel New Solarium, for its convenience, excellent location and impressive service. A cold buffet and drinks awaited the group on arrival.
  • Our Ski Hire shop is in the hotel, so early morning ski fitting was a simple procedure. Instructors and guides met the group right outside the hotel, ready for a day on the slopes.
  • Chalet de Pierre was chosen for lunch, as an easy venue for all levels of skiers can get to (even by car). Option for a long lunch or afternoon skiing.
  • We planned and arranged a private tobogganing session for the group, taking in the Courchevel luge track as well; exciting and adrenalin packed. Followed by drinks at the hotel bar and transfers to Via Ferrata; a lively and very good restaurant with a party like atmosphere later on.
  • Right next to the restaurant is Les Caves nightclub, the perfect venue for a table for after dinner drinks and late night party.
  • The Saturday followed a similar format. More skiing and a fantastic lunch at the Restaurant Cap Horn – one of 1850’s most celebrated lunch spots.
  • The evening activity took on a bit of a James Bond Theme. With cocktails and ski-dooing the plan. After an hour long tour of the slopes and surrounding area on high powered ski doo’s (a great thrill) the group were to be dropped off at a bar for cocktails on the terrace, around a big log fire. A great end to a great day.
  • Dinner was at Le Mangeoire – another incredible restaurant that turns into a night club – dancing on tables, big bottles of wine / vodka / champagne and lots of fun and dancing.
  • Sunday allowed for some morning skiing for those still wanting to ski, before having to check out of rooms.
  • We arranged a delightful lunch at Le Tremplin before their departure in private transfers back to the airport.
  • The guests left happy, tired, partied out and having had a fantastic winter experience.

THE RESULT

“This is the 3rd trip we have used Kaluma for and you never ever fail us. Everything is run to perfection, the bookings, the timings, the guides, the restaurant choices and tables in the clubs. Having you on hand throughout is a great peace of mind and really makes a difference to our trips. See you next winter!”
