One of Val d’Isère’s original hotels, the Christiania was built in 1948 and has remained in the Bertoli family ever since. The original 30 bedrooms have been extended and expanded and regular investment has kept this popular five star property as one of the resort’s favourites.
The hotel restaurant serves delicious gourmet food created by head chef Philippe Meyzin, food is enjoyed alongside stunning panoramic mountain views. The lounge area with its cosy fireplace is a delightful place to unwind, whilst a dedicated smokers lounge offers panoramic views over the ice rink.
The hotel’s indoor swimming pool is surrounded by large windows to bring in lots of natural light and provide stunning views as your swim. If you’re feeling energetic then there is a fitness area with plenty of exercise equipment or if you would prefer to relax and be pampered then why not indulge in a massage or beauty treatment?
