Bell 2 Lodge was once, many moons ago, an old rickety service station on the Alaskan highway. Transformed as a heli ski lodge back in the mid 90’s it has kept a lot of its history, but clearly moved with the times. This beautifully remote Canadian lodge hosts a maximum of 36 guests and is made up of 8 charming log cabins, all with wood burning fires for extra cosiness at night.
The log cabins are around a 100 metre walk from the main heli lodge which has a friendly bar, dining room and lounge and offers first class hotel facilities. The communal space offers guests the chance to share their incredible experiences of day’s activities with other guests before retiring for bed.
The heli pad is on site, so in no time you can be air bound and on route to skiing or boarding the largest heli ski area on the planet!
When weather conditions are unfavourable for flying you can head straight out to explore the Bell Irving River Valley where you might be lucky enough to come across moose, wolf or other animals that roam the area in the winter.
The Kaluma Opinion
The ultimate place to stay and experience undeniably the best heli skiing you will ever do in your lifetime.
