12 Aug Our stay at the Hotel Vanessa
For the second and third night of our Verbier trip we were staying in the Hotel Vanessa, a hotel we have worked with for many years and a popular destination for groups. The hotel has a great location right in the centre of the resort, within seconds you will be in the heart of Place Centrale and excellent facilities, the spa area features a huge Jacuzzi and the restaurant serves a great breakfast as well as being a popular place to enjoy dinner in the evening.
Our room was one of the larger rooms – a Deluxe Senior Suite, spread over two floors with two doubles/twins and a single room as well as two bathrooms and a balcony! The room had plenty of space for up to 5 people and we would definitely recommend for a bigger group or if you just want plenty of space.
Whilst we were staying at the Hotel Vanessa it was Swiss National Day which means a bank holiday for local residents and a street festival for all to enjoy! As we were so close we wondered into the centre of Verbier to take in the array of food, market and bar stalls! There was a great atmosphere late into the night with local bands and events going on as well….and we’re sure this is just a taster of the fantastic atmosphere surrounding Verbier during the winter months.
If you are considering a trip to Verbier in the summer the end of July/early August is a great time as there is loads going on in the resort, including the annual Verbier Classical Music Festival.
