Kaluma Trip to Verbier….

Verbier Summer

Kaluma Trip to Verbier….

Last Tuesday we (Kelly and Andy) headed out to Verbier to visit our new chalet – Chalet Maurine. We also had the pleasure of visiting and staying at some other fabulous properties in the vibrant resort of Verbier including the W hotel, Hotel Cordee Des Alpes, Hotel Vanessa and Hotel Nevai. Keep an eye on the blog over the next few days for more information on our experiences here.

The main purpose of our trip was to visit our new luxury chalet!

On first arriving it was apparent that the chalet really does benefit from a great location, right in the heart of the resort and just a two-minute walk to the lifts. Everything you would need is right on the doorstep.

Once inside there is plenty of space across the 4 floors and there’s a real feel of luxury throughout all the rooms, thanks to the considered interior touches; from antique pieces to cosy throws and pillows on the beds.

The stunning top floor living/dining area is the defining feature of this chalet, incredibly spacious and light with floor to ceiling windows to admire the beautiful mountain views. Just off the living room you can step out on to the sun soaked balcony and enjoy the private hot tub – we couldn’t think of anywhere we would rather enjoy a sun-downer after a day on the slopes.

Some of you might even recognise the chalet from Made in Chelsea last season!

We’re really excited with the new addition to our Kaluma chalet portfolio and can’t wait to welcome our first guests there this winter!

After our visit to the chalet it was on to explore Verbier further…. As it was such a beautiful sunny day we decided to head up the mountain for lunch at a restaurant that is a favourite with many of our guests – Chez Danny. We sat out on the terrace and enjoyed lunch with stunning views of the Verbier valley. In winter the restaurant takes on a different form, a popular place to get a snow taxi (piste basher!) up to, enjoy dinner with views over the mountain at night and then toboggan back down!
